SRS Warehouse

SRS Warehouse engaged Cook Brothers to complete the construction of a new 3000m2 storage warehouse and 3500m2 of adjoining yard slabs in Rolleston. Together with Cequent, our Canterbury team completed the warehouse and subsequent electrical and fire services fit-out, stormwater, and the construction of two new drainage swales. The main slab was post-tensioned, and the overall scale of the build and slabs is impressive.

The original sawmill remained operational during the project, posing challenges with the movement of plant and machinery. With their excellent track record and experience working within live environments, the team coordinated works to be sequenced, ensuring optimal safety during the yard slab pours. Access was maintained for the SRS staff throughout the project, utilising prompt and collaborative communication and planning. The Cook Brothers team also controlled risk around the high wind zoning and exposed conditions.

With early procurement strategies and an eager team, Cook Brothers and valued Trade Partners pushed hard to ensure PC was met and the programme was achieved. The Client was incredibly pleased with the result.
