Cook Brothers Construction was engaged in an Early Contractors Involvement model for the extensive refurbishment of the Golden Gate Lodge in Cromwell; these works also included the fit out of the new Five Stags Bar and Forage Café.
Our design team were involved in DCG meetings for three months before commencing on site to assist with feedback on the design in regards to procurement of material, allocation of resource and to keep the design to budget. The client’s key drivers were time and budget. The project had to be completed by early December to get the summer holiday trade.
The works involved a significant amount of demolition of the original structure with new structural steel and timber framing installed followed by the external envelope. The interior fit out then commenced which included all new kitchen and bathroom facilities and a full fit out to meet Lions design standards for their Five Stag bars. The completed works were on time and to a high standard, much to the delight of the client and their clientele.
