Bendemeer Residence

With so much growth in the region, Cook Brothers established a residential division in 2013 whose sole focus was to deliver Quality, high-end residential homes, and lodges within the Southern Lakes Region. With the backing of the commercial systems in place, including stringent health and safety and project management, our residential division carries these skillsets but delivers a more personable tailored approach.

Designed by AW Architects, the Bendemeer Residence features three distinct wings joined by glass link ways ranging in design with features of concrete, steel, and cedar used throughout.

Insitu concrete was a prominent design element of this build. However, with the considerable pressure and weight, combined with vibration from the installation, our Architectural team were required to innovate around challenges. Design innovations of secret internal gutters and metal link ways, kept with the E2 Building Code and custom boxing for the concrete was man-made on site.

Features such as burnt larch used as interior cladding and polished concrete make for a rich pallet of texture and colour throughout the home. Bespoke joinery, custom hardware and highlights such as the hot rolled mild steel fireplace internal fireplace make this home a standout.
