Issue 4 of The Line reflects a great recap of 2019 at Cook Brothers Construction. Our team have carved out space in the industry as bold and ambitious innovators, and quality creators. We have been working steadily alongside our valued clients and have delivered several impressive projects last year. A strong focus of ours going into 2020 is the climate emergency we are currently living in. At Cook Brothers Construction, our sustainability focus is- what we do today, defines our tomorrow. This simple statement is a reminder of how decisions will make an impact on our futures.

Our Auckland team handed over an impressive Logistics Warehouse at Auckland Airport in 2019. The project featured 17m precast fire-rated walls and a post-tensioned floor. Logistics has qualified as a Green 5 Star building, and we are incredibly thrilled to have delivered this to our Client. The team is in the final stages of the Element Apartments and also a new gluten-free manufacturing facility for Tasti Foods.

It's been an exciting and challenging year for our Canterbury team. Our team remained focused on our business, our people, and what we do well for our clients. The team recently handed over many projects for the Canterbury community including the Dark Sky Project in Takapo, Victoria St Development, RD petroleum, Redwood Firestation, and Risingholme Homestead. This year two of the largest projects for the Canterbury team are well underway including the Richmond Working Men's Club and Colombo Street Hotel.

Our Southern Lakes region continued to grow with several developments taking off including works at the Queenstown Collision Centre, The Raddison Hotel, Brecon St Development, and Northlake, to name a few. Our Southern Lakes team are well and truly in times of growth. The team are enthusiastic and ready for what 2020 will bring.

Further down south in the Otago region, our team handed over the newly improved Showroom for Cooke Howlison Toyota, as well as the Burlington Street Apartments. They celebrated with a stellar awards season with The Chamerbson Hotel taking out several gongs. With many projects well underway for the Ministry of Education and the extension to O Block for Otago Polytechnic, the Otago team are working hard to complete these projects. For 2020, many exciting projects are in the pipeline; the team are ready to deliver these to our community and clients.
