At Cook Brothers Construction, we are proud to be at the forefront of sustainable initiatives. As part of our efforts to divert materials from landfills, we have implemented a strong focus on recycling and reusing materials. One of the ways we have embraced this mindset is by employing Sustainability Carpenters in our Canterbury and Otago regions. The Dunedin City Council recently recognised our commitment to waste minimisation in construction, featuring the team in a case study.
In our Dunedin workshop, Sustainability Carpenter Dan has been leading the charge of utilising materials from our sites to create innovative items for our community groups, schools, and our team. By repurposing these materials, Dan's work reduces waste and contributes to the betterment of our local community.
We are proud to have our Sustainability Carpenters driving positive change within our company and beyond. Their dedication and creativity are making a tangible impact on waste minimisation and promoting sustainable practices.
Through initiatives like employing Sustainability Carpenters, Cook Brothers are striving to build a better future for our communities while reducing our footprint.
