Set snugly between two soaring mountain ranges, a glacier-topped peak and the river-fed headwaters of Lake Wakatipu, Glenorchy is a unique and awe-inspiring destination. With such inspiration in abounds, it is no surprise that our team returned this year to the Camp Glenorchy Eco Retreat in these stunning surroundings for our Annual Management Conferences.
With sessions around performance and personal development, our team gained valuable insights into their own working styles, strengths and behaviours. Sharing in our company vision of one team with the desire to take on the world, transform the construction industry, and cement ourselves as a national leader, they participated in round table discussion, presented to their peers, and spoke openly about the construction industry's challenges today.
Each year when we return to Glenorchy, our team continues to drive their commitment to this vision, their innovative ideas for change, and their passion and pride in our work. We see each year that buy-in and collaboration go beyond good management; it becomes the building blocks of culture, forming leaders who can inspire.
Nothing gives us more pride than the development of our people, seeing them aspire and work towards becoming better leaders and industry innovators. Through inspiring this style of teamwork and development, our team becomes more accountable; they share in common goals and strengthen the culture of Cook Brothers.
A huge thank-you also to the team at Camp Glenorchy, who again provided our teams with incredible service. Designed, built, and operated in line with the Living Building Challenge (LBC) philosophy and principles, their large conference space, fresh catering, and warm accommodation and hospitality are excellent. We cannot recommend them more highly.
