About the Role

Reporting to the National Pre-Construction Manager, you will be responsible for providing robust cost planning estimates, tender bids, feasibilities, and contract management. You will utilise your strong stakeholder management and communication skills to maintain positive internal and external relationships.

We offer flexibility regarding your location, with opportunities available in Otago, Queenstown, Wānaka, Auckland, or Canterbury.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare tenders ranging from $500K to $20M+
  • Accurately measure and price builder's quantities
  • Manage tender documentation and bid submissions
  • Cultivate strong industry relationships
  • Source and evaluate quotes from trade partners and suppliers
  • Analyse data related to land, buildings, or construction projects
  • Conduct thorough due diligence to interpret the cost implications of tender documentation 

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Construction Management (Quantity Surveyor – Construction Economics advantageous) or related field
  • At least 5 years of post-graduation experience in commercial construction estimating for main contractors (tier 2 preferred)
  • Proven experience in measuring a variety of projects, including new builds and fit-outs
  • Proficiency with various estimating and project management software systems
  • Exceptional communication and leadership abilities
