Quantity Surveyor

About the Role:

This is a great opportunity for an experienced and passionate Quantity Surveyor, to join the Cook Brothers Construction Team at our Queenstown Office.

You will work alongside the dedicated Project Manager, managing the costs and effectively communicating across the team throughout the project lifespan.

Your main duties will include:

• Cost controlling
• Internal budgeting
• Forecasting and reporting
• Subtrade packages and tenders
• Assess progress claims and variations
• Relationship building with internal and external stakeholders
• Working closely with the Project team on challenges and opportunities

About You:

You are someone who enjoys being involved in projects from start to finish, you have a thorough understanding of the importance of effective communication across the board, alongside:

• Demonstrated experience, working on high value commercial projects (over $10 million) in New Zealand
• Relevant diploma/degree
• Demonstrated experience working on commercial projects
• Good commercial acumen
• Demonstrated experience successfully managing costs through project life cycle
• The ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively with team members and trade partners
• Permanent NZ Work Rights
