About the Role:

With business thriving, we are seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced and innovative Project Managers who are interested in joining the Cook Brothers Construction Team from Mid-2025.

You will be a lead by example leader for the Cook Brothers Team, and trade partners whilst working alongside the Quantity Surveyor and Site Manager on Commercial Build Projects. You will have a strong drive to succeed personally and drive and motivate those around you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategically planning and effectively managing all aspects of the construction project
  • Liaising with clients and stakeholders while maintaining a high service quality
  • Development and maintaining the construction programme
  • Risk mitigation
  • Driving Health & Safety in all aspects of the project
  • Leading cost control and budget reporting
  • Meeting Key Performance Objectives of the project
  • Focus on quality and sustainability
  • Construction methodology and adherence to policies, procedures, relevant codes and acts for self and the team
  • Leadership of Site Manager and build team. Ability to work effectively alongside QS

Skills and Experience:

  • At least 5 years demonstrated Commercial Construction experience
  • Strong demonstrated experience as a Project Manager
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to be able to develop and grow individuals and the team
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to navigate tough conversations
  • Demonstrated planning and program management experience
  • A high understanding and compliance of Health and Safety
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated finance and budgeting skills
  • Experience with using project management software
  • Experience working on over $10 million dollar projects is highly desired
  • A NZ or Australian recognised Trade Qualification (preferred)
