About the Role
As our company continues to grow, we are seeking a Building Services Coordinator to join our Christchurch based team. In this role, you’ll support the Building Services Team to ensure all building service installations are completed to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review tender documents and provide advice to the pre-construction team on allowances and completeness, working closely with Trade Partners and consultants.
- Manage the delivery of service design elements, ensuring they align with the design brief and project requirements.
- Support the delivery team by managing RFIs, leading service meetings, conducting site inspections, and providing internal reports.
- Act as a liaison between the project team, Trade Partners, and consultants to ensure clear communication and effective issue resolution.
- Review shop drawings to identify constructability challenges and opportunities for value engineering.
- Develop and oversee commissioning plans to ensure smooth and compliant project closeouts.
- Manage BIM requirements to support efficient project delivery on site.
- Ensure health and safety compliance while delivering projects on time, within budget, and exceeding client expectations.
Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience as a Building Services Coordinator or in a similar role
- Previous experience in installation of building services across mechanical, electrical, hydraulics and fire
- Experience in medium to large scale commercial construction
- Proficient with technical documentation and document control
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Electrical, Hydraulic, or Mechanical Engineering
