Building Services Coordinator

About the Role

As our company continues to grow, we are seeking a Building Services Coordinator to join our Christchurch based team. In this role, you’ll support the Building Services Team to ensure all building service installations are completed to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review tender documents and provide advice to the pre-construction team on allowances and completeness, working closely with Trade Partners and consultants.
• Manage the delivery of service design elements, ensuring they align with the design brief and project requirements.
• Support the delivery team by managing RFIs, leading service meetings, conducting site inspections, and providing internal reports.
• Act as a liaison between the project team, Trade Partners, and consultants to ensure clear communication and effective issue resolution.
• Review shop drawings to identify constructability challenges and opportunities for value engineering.
• Develop and oversee commissioning plans to ensure smooth and compliant project closeouts.
• Manage BIM requirements to support efficient project delivery on site.
• Ensure health and safety compliance while delivering projects on time, within budget, and exceeding client expectations.

Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience as a Building Services Coordinator or in a similar role
• Previous experience in installation of building services across mechanical, electrical, hydraulics and fire
• Experience in medium to large scale commercial construction
• Proficient with technical documentation and document control
• Strong organisational and time management abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Electrical, Hydraulic, or Mechanical Engineering
