Having the right team behind us from the beginning has contributed to the success of Cook Brothers today. The fundamental focus of being One Team has founded our vision, culture and values since day one.
We aim to support and grow our team through our culture, developing learning and fostering leadership. Here are just some of the ways we do that:
- Launching and running own in-house Apprentice Academy
- Personal development and support through our in-house Sports Psychologist and Software Trainers
- Annual Team Summits are held to develop leadership skills and foster collaboration amongst our national teams.
- Offering flexible working options to meet the needs of our team members.
- Providing Health Insurance for all Cook Brothers team members.
- Offering financial or emotional support through the EAP, recommended advisory services or own in-house Cook Brothers Help Me.
- Having active Social Club's where our close-knit teams can enjoy activities outside of work, like night skiing, dinners, paintball, etc.

Initially formed in Dunedin seventeen years ago, today, Cook Brothers Construction is a national commercial construction company with regional branches in Auckland, Canterbury, Otago, Queenstown and Wanaka. Our Teams are innovators and future thinkers. Cook Brothers employs an experienced and knowledgeable multicultural team of 250+ personnel nationwide. We are a young, dynamic team with a strong culture supporting diversity and career growth. Cook Brothers has a strong pipeline of upcoming work ranging from multi-million commercial, hotel, education and community projects.
Our experienced Advisory Board provide strong governance and technical advice to Cook Brothers Construction, and an experienced Executive team lead through example in strategic planning, infrastructure, and ISO-accredited health, safety quality and sustainability.
